Euda Education

The mission at Euda Education is to bridge the gap between home and school through positive psychology and the science of human flourishing.

Euda Education builds meaningful partnerships with schools, educators, staff and families to embed sustainable, evidence-informed wellbeing into everyday life and learning. Alongside working within schools, Euda Education also support parents directly—helping families nurture confidence, emotional resilience and positive mindsets beyond the classroom.

Euda Education recognises that flourishing students are supported by flourishing adults, which is why we are equally committed to the wellbeing of school staff, parents and the wider school community. Together, we create environments where wellbeing is prioritised, emotional health is nurtured, and every child—and every adult supporting them—can thrive.

Schoolchildren On Steps

Inspired by eudaimonia — the science of human flourishing

I partner with schools and parents to nurture every child's wellbeing and inner confidence at every step of their journey. My evidence-based programs empower children to grow through challenges and flourish both in the classroom and at home.

Empowering Children. Supporting Parents.
Inspiring Schools.

The Shift

When the pressure to succeed builds, bright and capable children often begin to:

  • Question ability

  • Avoid trying new things

  • Worry about school and exams

  • Lose their spark when facing setbacks

The Solution

Euda Education bridges the gap between education and home life. By embedding evidence-based wellbeing tools into a child’s daily world, we ensure that both families and educators have a clear, shared path to nurturing happiness and self-belief.

What “Euda” means

Euda is inspired by eudaimonia—the concept of human flourishing.

At its heart, Euda exists to help children grow into confident, resilient and emotionally aware individuals.

Like a well-rooted tree, when children are given the right foundations, they naturally grow in strength, balance and self-belief—ready to navigate life’s challenges.

Eudaimonia is about more than feeling good; it’s about:

  • Developing strengths

  • Growing through challenge

  • Building resilience and purpose

  • Flourishing in the world around us

This philosophy is at the heart of everything Euda Education does—bringing positive psychology into schools in a practical, meaningful way, while also empowering parents to support their child’s growth at home.

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” —Aristotle

What Euda Education does

Supporting the Whole Child—At a Critical Stage

Euda Education supports schools and parents in developing the whole child, with a specialist focus on students aged 7–12.

This is a key stage where:

  • Academic pressure increases

  • Standardised assessments become more visible

  • Confidence and self-belief can begin to dip

  • Euda Education ensures children are not only academically prepared—but emotionally equipped to succeed in learning and in life.

Supporting Parents alongside Schools

When children begin to struggle with confidence or emotional resilience in learning, it is often felt most strongly at home. Euda Education works with parents who are noticing changes at home. You might be seeing:

  • Loss of confidence despite strong ability

  • Worry about school or tests

  • Fear of getting things wrong

Euda Education helps students rebuild confidence, develop resilience, and feel more secure in themselves. If that sounds familiar, I’d be happy to have a quick chat.

Father And Daughter

Using the Adventures in Wisdom Life Coaching Program for kids™ alongside evidence-based positive psychology, children learn to:

  • Understand how their thoughts shape their learning

  • Respond positively to mistakes and challenges

  • Build confidence and self-belief

  • Stay engaged and curious when learning and life feels difficult

This helps them move from:“I can’t do this” → “I can figure this out.”

What Schools Say

"It’s been a real pleasure working with Melanie Gentles. The professional development session I attended on using character strengths and positive psychology to support staff wellbeing was both insightful and inspiring. It prompted us to rethink our appraisal framework, shifting the focus towards working with staff strengths, which has already had a positive impact on our approach. We also had the opportunity to invite Melanie to work with a class of students with social and emotional needs. The programme she developed focused on building empathy and resilience and made a significant difference. The students’ growth was evident, and the assembly they led at the end, where they spoke with real sincerity about caring for each other, was truly moving. Both I and our School Business Manager, who attended the professional development with me, have been really impressed with Melanie’s thoughtful, practical and impact-driven approach. The changes we have seen in the class have been very encouraging, and we are excited to continue working with her and building on the positive impact she has already made."

Daniel Kerbel

Headteacher, Grange School

"I had the privilege of attending two enriching training sessions led by Melanie: “Thrive in Schools – Practical Strategies to Nourish Staff Wellbeing” and “Enhancing School Leaders’ Wellbeing – PERMA+H and the Power of Job Crafting.” Both sessions were engaging, thought-provoking, and packed with practical tools to enhance personal and professional wellbeing. One of the standout features was the use of the PERMA+H model, which offered a holistic approach to wellbeing. The material resonated with me, as it emphasised not only the importance of individual wellness but also how fostering a positive environment within teams can create more engaged, motivated, and healthier individuals. The sessions made it clear that wellbeing is not just about managing stress, but actively cultivating positive habits and mindsets. I was particularly inspired by the concept of job crafting. By tailoring roles to better align with personal strengths and interests, we can enhance our sense of fulfilment and contribution, leading to greater satisfaction and productivity. What set these sessions apart was the opportunity for self-reflection and the practical steps shared to enhance our practice. I left feeling equipped with tools that not only support my own wellbeing but also help create a more positive and engaged work environment for my team.Thank you, Melanie, for delivering such insightful and practical training that has already begun to positively influence my approach to work and life."

Krishna Pindora

Deputy Headteacher, Newton Farm Nursery, Infant and Junior School

"We were absolutely delighted to have Melanie Gentles deliver two bespoke sessions for our primary school staff, focusing on positive psychology and wellbeing strategies. Melanie brought incredible warmth, depth of knowledge, and an engaging style that truly resonated with our team. The sessions were thoughtfully tailored to our needs, striking the perfect balance between practical strategies and meaningful reflection. Staff left feeling inspired and equipped with tools to support their own wellbeing.Melanie has a real passion for positive psychology, and her ability to create a safe, open space for discussion made a real impact. We look forward to working with her again and would highly recommend Melanie to other schools looking to focus on positive psychology and wellbeing strategies for their staff."

Sachin Patel

Assistant Headteacher, Priestmead School

"We were really fortunate to have Melanie run her wonderfully inspiring staff wellbeing session at our whole-school INSET. The introduction to positive psychology, its benefits, and the research behind it was incredibly engaging and thought-provoking, and as a team we felt we learned a lot. Melanie’s interactive and friendly style made the session easy to engage with, and we appreciated how she encouraged everyone to participate and share their experiences and points of view. The session was a valuable reminder of the importance of self-care and how we can better support each other by implementing the PERMA model and celebrating our own and others’ character strengths. Thank you, Melanie."

April Hassan

Learning Mentor, Norbury School

"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you again for the training you delivered to our staff at Norbury School on character strengths – it’s really stuck with us.We’ve started weaving it into our PSHE lessons, and it has been a great fit for helping students explore their own strengths in a more structured way. We’ve also begun bringing the language of character strengths into staff wellbeing and even into appraisal conversations, which has been really well received. It’s been a really useful framework for both students and staff, and we’re excited to keep building on it. Thanks again for getting us started on this path!"

Learning Mentor, Norbury School

Your session on staff wellbeing, and looking after ourselves was absolutely fantastic. Your energy and passion for wellbeing truly came across.I particularly liked your wellbeing bank account concept. It’s such a simple yet powerful way to think about how we invest in our mental and emotional health. People commented that your evidence-based strategies were both practical and inspiring, and I know that many of us walked away with some real food for thought.Your experience as a Positive Psychology Practitioner is so evident, and we are very lucky to have you at Orley Farm. I’m very grateful for the time you spent preparing and presenting.Thank you once again for contributing to our meeting in such a meaningful way. I’m confident that many of us are now thinking about our own wellbeing (and that of our teams) a little differently – I certainly am!

Henk Richards

Head of Pre-Prep, Orley Farm School

Melanie delivered an exceptional Wellbeing INSET for our staff at St John’s and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. She is an engaging and insightful practitioner who creates an immediate sense of trust with her audience. She expertly guided us through Corey Keyes' Mental Health Continuum and Adam Grant’s '3 Ms', providing our team with a clear, practical framework to move from 'languishing' to 'flourishing.' The 'Speed Strength-Spotting' activity was a particular highlight—it was a powerful way for staff to recognise their own 'Everyday Hero' strengths and see how we can better support one another.Melanie’s core message—that wellbeing often comes from doing more of the 'right things' rather than just doing less—resonated deeply with our team. I highly recommend Melanie to any school looking for a trainer who combines deep expertise in positive psychology with a truly engaging approach.
